Tesserack GT Solar Ground Mounting
High Yield, Low Load Ground Mount Systems
While we can provide a standard fixed tilt system, we will often recommend an East-West orientation.
Check out why:
Check out why:
Lower Wind Loads
Exclusive, independent wind tunnel analysis for optimized E-W structures.
- Wind tunnel tested by CPP Wind Engineering under ASCE 7 protocols.
- Low slope, rooftop configuration reduces wind loads by up to 3X over single tilt. Lower load = less steel = lower cost & more resilient structure.
- Array height > 1 meter allows all O&M from below the array.
Higher Power Density
Double your project's MW/acre.
- Low slope, E-W configuration virtually eliminates shading, allowing the elimination of gaps between rows.
- At low latitudes, no drop in output compared to single tilt but less power density benefit.
- At higher latitudes a small drop in energy yield is more than offset by higher power density.
Flatter Power Curve
East-West captures more power earlier and later in the day, with a lower mid-day peak.
- Avoid curtailment and clipping.
- Capture time of day pricing.
- Potentially higher IRR.
